Toontown is so fun. There's so much to do! They keep updating so they've improved a few things (such as my internet connection), which is great! Violence: you fight these robot called cogs, but all you do is throw pie at them, squirt them with water, cartoony stuff. And when they're defeated they blow up.
Invasions in Disney's Toontown Online are regarded as an invasion where cogs from level 1 to 8 can spawn. However, if there's an invasion taking over multiple districts; it is regarded as an mega-invasion. Mega-Invasions have been a thing from Toontown Online to Toontown Rewritten. Why They Suck. Toontown Online's original Creative Director, Jesse Schell, literally wrote the book on Game Design. You can learn more about the book and the free app on the Art of Game Design website. NOTE: Schell Games isn't affiliated with Toontown Rewritten and didn't ask us to advertise Jesse's book. We just really enjoy it, and there are even some.
Language: There is a non prescriped chat and you can write what you want. However, they block some words. Also, to the cogs you can say, 'You stink!' But some toons say it to other toons. But you can report them.
Consumerism: I think that's the biggest downside. Although you can play for free, members can do a lot more stuff. They also encourage kids to update to a membership. You play a cartoonish animal fighting robots with silly gags.
What more is there to say? Teamwork is encouraged but not enforced. You can do large quantities of the game on your own. There is a chat menu, and you can only type if you exchange codes with a friend offline. There is no blood or gore, but enemies explode, which can be startling. Toons can say mean things to one another, but cannot swear or consume alcohol.
It is a fun game. There is a free mode, but to be able to visit all the areas and do everythinbg the game has to offer, you must pay a monthly fee.
If toons have quickchat in the updated version of toontown, they can say things which everyone can see. Only people with quickchat can type messages.

People may find ways to bypass the rather weak swear filter, though.
